For ages 18 months to 3 years old
With our warm nurturing approach, we help toddlers take those initial steps towards independence. Each child receives a great deal of one-on-one individualized attention. This provides little ones with a secure base for experiencing their strengths in an environment that is designed specifically for them.

Toddlers like to explore. So our toddler rooms are bright, colorful and engage every ounce of a child’s curiosity to play and learn. Little ones enjoy open space for physical play, quiet corners for slowing down and snuggling-in with any of our huge variety of books and puzzles, plus toys to stimulate, places to play pretend, sand and water to immerse one’s senses and a band full of instruments for making music.
We see the toddler years as a time to support young children’s growing sense of self and to help prepare them for preschool. Through play and exploration, we foster children’s emerging abilities in all areas, specifically the Rhode Island Early Learning content areas: social emotional development, language development and communication, approaches to learning (play), literacy, mathematics, science, creativity and physical health and development.
Every day in our toddler daycare, children are expanding their competence and sense of achievement. As children build successes and rise to meet our teachers’ gentle challenges, children learn they can enjoy participating in activities outside of their home. They begin to develop a can-do attitude that will be one of the most important ingredients they will take with them into preschool.

Ages: KinderArt Toddler Care is for children 18 months to 3 years old.
Children are enrolled in classes according to age:
“Ducklings” for 18 months to 2 years old
“Little Lambs” for 2-3 years-old
Schedule: Toddler Care is available throughout the full year.
Hours: Full Day 8:30am-5:30pm, Half Day 8:30am-12:30pm
Early Care: 7:30am-8:30am
Location: At our Learning Center nestled up to Easton’s Pond at 146 Aquidneck Ave., Middletown, RI
